PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODWorthington's most important community asset is its residential property. It's where our families live and make great investments. On July 12, 2010, City Council defeated an ordinance to add NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL to our LOW DENSITY APARTMENT zones. Now let’s remember the issue here: The owners want to place an antiques store in the house at 38-40 E. New England Avenue, a contributing property in the Worthington Historic District. The unanimous opposition of the neighbors stopped this tactic--with the support of the Olde Worthington Business Association and OWA. The plot thickens.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
On Thursday, July 22, 2010, the Municipal Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 to decide this issue. Please support our neighbors. Come and tell MPC, NO ANTIQUES SHOP ON NEW ENGLAND.
Citizen opinion will be a key factor in their decision. OWA strongly urges a NO vote. Worthington’s neighborhoods are at stake. Please attend and make you opinion known. READ MORE
